Most ESPN Radio affiliates use the extraordinary voice-talent Jim Cutler. This was no exception in Austin. Focus was on the local programming and Texas pro and college sports. It was also the flagship for the Austin Ice Bats minor league hockey team; I wrote all the copy and produced the broadcast elements. The station hosted a major tailgate party and pregame broadcast with an audience of hundreds of Longhorns fans prior to all University of Texas football games:
